About ASTM F963 testing
ASTM F963 (Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety) is a toy safety specification developed by ASTM International to cover a wide variety of safety requirements for all sorts of toys.
Compliance with ASTM F963 is required by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) as part of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA).
Manufacturers and importers of toys must ensure that their products meet the requirements of ASTM F963 to be in compliance with U.S. safety standards. Toys that do not meet this standard can be deemed unsafe and can be subject to recalls or other enforcement actions by the CPSC.
